An INCREDIBLE Weekend

This weekend was one of the best I have had in a while. I have a travel guide and I recently made a list of things I want to see and do in San Francisco in the next month and I was able to cross a few things off the list this weekend...

Friday I went to Monterey to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I drove back up Hwy 1 stopping in Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay. Half Moon Bay is a cute little seaside town with a great Parisian inspired shop called The Posh Moon. I bought the cutest charm bracelet made in Paris by a designer called Catherine Popesco. The charms are hand made from original stampings of charms from the 1920's. Truly beautiful!

Saturday I walked the Vallejo Steps and surrounding area. I walked for 4 hours this day...my dog was EXHAUSTED! Saturday night I went with friends to Ideale in North Beach. A local shop owner, who happens to be from Italy, had told me that Ideale is where all of the Italians eat. After dinner we headed to Tony Nik's.

Sunday my condo owner was showing the apartment so I had to be out for a few hours. So, I walked up to Coit Tower and cheered on the bikers and walked some more. I had to carry Harley for a while...again she was exhausted. One of the more interesting moments was watching a really angry cop threaten to beat bikers with his baton if they tried to ride down this one part of Grant. Matress Giant needed to make a delivery on that part of the blocked street but the cop told them no...and to go watch a movie then maybe come back. I thought that was a pretty funny thing to say to them. I then went and met a friend for burgers at Mo's. We picked them up to go, since Harley isn't actually allowed in most places.

And today I went to Mission Dolores. Mission Dolores was so beautiful and the garden cemetery so peaceful. This photo is a statue in the cemetery.

I think all cities have this much to see and explore. Where ever I live next I am going to buy a travel guide and make another list.
