Color of the Week: Ultramarine Green

Green is definitely one of my favorite colors, especially this shade! This continues my Pantone Fall Fashion 2012 Color series-see my other colors featured: titanium gray, pink flambé,  bright chartreuse and tangerine tango.

Color of the Week: Titanium Gray

Five things I love in gray: 1}Furniture. I bought a recovered vintage brown sofa, but am always thinking I should have gone with gray. Especially in velvet. 2}Nail polish. For some reason, on my skin this polish looks pretty darn good. This is on my "want" list. 3}Outerwear. You can't get more classic than a peacoat...in gray. 4}Converse. These were my go-to shoe when I lived in San Francisco. I like the gray because it doesn't seem as severe when I pair it with my pale legs. 5}Casual french terry sweatshirt. I can't stop wearing one like this at home!

Color of the Week: Pink Flambé

As I mentioned last week, I am going to be featuring each of the hot fall shades for Color of the Week-and this week is Pink Flambé! These colors are based on the Pantone Fall Fashion Color Report. Oh how I love this shade of pink-happy Monday!

Color of the Week: Bright Chartreuse

Since it is August and fall clothing is starting to pop up here and there, I'm going to start hitting the hot fall shades for Color of the Week-based on the Pantone Fashion Color Report. This color in particular surprised me and made me SO happy because of its neon-like shade {which I want to stay on trend forever}. Definitely a great color to buy now, that will take you through fall...and even probably next spring and summer! By the way, isn't this drawing by Nanette Lepore for Pantone highlighting bright chartreuse so cute...

Color of the Week: Silver

It's a bit funny thinking back on when I didn't like silver because it didn't "go with" gold. I even went through a silver only phase when I had braces. Now I am all grown up {maybe} and definitely okay blending the two. When I get a bar cart, I just know it will be gold and I am going to fill it up with silver accents, maybe something like these painted Kerr jars or these vintage silver banded glasses.

Color of the Week: Robin's Egg Blue

This is one of my favorite accent colors in my home-my velvet bedding and living room curtains are both shades of this blue. Although I don't have any of the color in my wardrobe, this tuxedo jacket is making me long for a cool San Francisco summer!

When I saw this kitchen online I immediately printed it out and added it to my inspiration folder. It is gorgeous, modern and clean. On my search for more aquamarine, the color seemed to become minty to me in some cases. How pretty is aquamarine with leopard though...

I featured yellow back in February but I have seen so many beautiful pieces for the home lately I couldn't resist touching on it again. I already have my colors set in my house and am happy with them, so I am living vicariously through these photos. Loving the color as bright as the sun for a patio (like above). Color of the Week: Pink

I love pink in every shade. {Surprised?!} This Chanel bag literally makes me want to cry it is so perfect. I can't say I have seen a pink Chanel in person, and although I know it is an investment bag-I think I would have a hard time spending money on one in pink. So, I will admire and dream of that pink bag from afar. Speaking of...file this under things I would never EVER buy can't help but adore, a $500 Swarovski Pop Phone (below). I DO love my Pop Phones and boy, this one sparkles! Here is a link to a more affordable pink version, which I always have with me.

Color of the Week: Lime Green

This weekend I worked on screen printing tote bags, which inspired the color of the week. One of the winners of the Viola Pearl tote bag contest picked lime green for her tote...at first I wasn't so sure...but now I am sold (see photo below). And, now I am loving the color! Color of the Week: Royal Blue

It's coming up on Memorial Day weekend and I already have my outfit planned for the Crawfish Festival and trip to the National Museum of the Pacific War! I am not usually into wearing red, white and blue...it is usually too much for me, personally. But, this year I feel like going all out! I will be wearing a Garnet Hill knit tank dress in twilight blue (a shade of royal blue), my chandelier necklace from J Crew and red nails!

Royal blue is quite beautiful and right now there seems to be a plethora of it to choose from. That chair gives me many ideas for a chair for my bedroom.

Color of the Week: Leopard

When anyone asks what my favorite color is, I always say leopard. Yes, sometimes it is orange or pink or lavender as well, but, my all-time favorite color is leopard print. Some may not consider it a color, but the various shades go with everything and every color, so I am going with it!

Color of the Week: Gold

Gold is a classic go-to color. And, although I have a lot of silver accessories in my home, I love gold accents. I remember a time when I thought mixing metals was bad-now I pile on my gold and silver studded friendship bracelets carelessly. And, my silver skull sits pretty next to a pink and gold vase.

In addition to gold for the home, I love it in fashion...but bigger and brighter. My current go-to nail polish is Butter London gold glitter. It is much easier to get off than other glitter polishes and seems to stay on a while. And, if you follow fashion news, you probably have seen Carey Mulligan in Prada from the Met Gala last night (below)...she was even trending on Twitter! Gold was everywhere on the red carpet. My other current gold style favorite is nameplate necklace. I just wish I could find mine I bought at Walgreens years and years ago.
