My New Favorite Thing: Merona Coat

I am extremely picky when it comes to the perfect coat, probably because in Texas we don't get to wear them too long. My all time favorite coat was custom made for me (as a Christmas gift from my parents) at Al's Attire in North Beach, when I lived in San Francisco. Unfortunately it is way too big on me to wear anymore, which I guess is a good/bad problem to have. And, I am betting it would be a pretty penny to alter it. So, I have been on the hunt for something that works for now, but isn't too expensive. The other day I was killing time in Austin before a wedding and stopped by my old Target and there it was. This coat. A beautiful coat. A faux fur collar that actually looks decent and is removable...in case I want to pair it with my favorite leopard scarf. It looks Anthropologie'ish to me, without the price tag. Most of all, I am obsessed with the color. Find the coat here.

My New Favorite Thing: Pretty in Spikes Necklace

So, I'm a winner... of this beautiful necklace by JEWELIQ! I usually don't win anything so I don't try {sad, I know haha}...but being a jewelry-aholic I couldn't help but enter the contest for free baubles on the Mix and Match Fashion blog. To my surprise, it was my big moment. And, the awesome prize was my choice from their Website! So, I picked this, the Pretty in Spikes necklace. I love the mix of gold spikes and turquoise-it's adjustable to be shorter or longer. I like to wear turquoise year-round, so this is the perfect necklace for me. Definitely check the JEWELIQ store out if you haven't, it is incredibly cute and incredibly affordable! Thanks again Tara and JEWELIQ.

My New Favorite Thing: MyAgenda Calendar

My iPad is hugely important in my life. So is my iPhone. Oh and I can't forget Gmail and Google Calendar. But lately, something has been missing...and that something is paper. I grew up spending my entire allowance on pencils, pens and notepads, down to the penny! I still love notepads and paper but they have been collecting dust for the past couple of years, until now. I decided to stop with the multi-calendar stuff and purchased myAgenda from the momAgenda company and I couldn't be happier. I still update my iPhone calendar, but that is *after* I make updates in myAgenda!

The top three things I love about myAgenda: 1}The size. It is 7"x9"x1" making it perfect to carry around in my purse. 2}The time and space thing. It is a 17-month calendar with lots of space to write. 3}The sparkles. It is really pretty gold, which just looks good with anything and it kind of sparkles, which matters to me! Find myAgenda here.

My New Favorite Thing: Missoni for Havaianas

Remember the Target Missoni debacle? I do, only because I was one of the insane totally normal fans up until 4 a.m. ordering everything I wanted, only to have my order cancelled days later because their system crashed. Don't worry, I still got that darn throw I wanted so bad {even though I ended up purchasing it on eBay}!

Well, the Missoni for Havaianas launch seems to be much more calm. I picked these cute flip flops up at Nordstrom. And, I didn't even have to run down an isle fighting for them OR stay up all night. The color is too cute and I adore the pattern. I guess I should thank Lola for chewing up my Tory Burch flip flops or I wouldn't have needed these. Find the Missoni for Havaianas flip flops here!

My New Favorite Thing: Baby Lips

Hello summer, hello dry cracked lips. When it hits 100+ there aren't many things that can make my dry lips feel better, until I ran across Maybelline Baby Lips. This stuff works to keep my lips soft day and night, enabling me to dump my chapstick-it is amazing!

I love that it has a small tint to it, so it is perfect for work when I want to be subtle. It also looks great at night when I am sporting dramatic eyes. My favorite colors are Grape Vine (looks darker in the tube than it is on I promise) and Pink Punch. And I love that it is so darn cheap (FOUR DOLLARS!), so you can have every color. Find it at your local Target, Walgreens or Ulta if you can...it has been sold out in my town. Or you can find it online here.

My New Favorite Thing: Amber Necklace

I have already written about my obsession with monograms. Well, after weeks and weeks my nameplate necklace finally arrived from Bauble Bar! It is custom made for each person, so I can't complain about the wait.

For inspiration, I love how blogger Honestly WTF styled hers in the photo below with multiple other necklaces. Since I got my nameplate necklace, I have been pairing it with my painted necklaces. I love the combo of bright and simple.

My New Favorite Thing: Gold Sequin Clutch

Inspired by this Miu Miu clutch, I have been on the hunt for a sparkly clutch. I ran across a gold clutch from Zara in my search. Of course it was sold out, except on eBay. No thanks. Then, luckily I ran across a gold sequin, Zara-looking clutch on Etsy. What a find! It is the perfect size, is made very well...and is an affordable $45. Much better than the $1,000 price tag for the Miu Miu! I love how you can fold it over, as shown in the photo above or not. It even fits my iPad.

I plan to carry it with my summer dresses and even with my everyday casual khaki shorts and plain white tee. Find the gold sequin clutch here.

My New Favorite Thing: Cambridge Satchel Company Bag

I got this Cambridge Satchel Company neon pink bag about a week ago...and since then I have had mixed reviews from strangers. One person asked if I was a crossing guard. Others just politely commented on how bright my bag is. The girl at iHop loved it.

I quickly realized that neon isn't for everyone and everyone can't "do" neon. I am one of the lucky ones that isn't embarrassed by the comments, and boy do people love to comment on the color! So yes I am bright and possibly a crossing guard-either way...I LOVE my neon. Some of my favorite neon Cambridge Satchel Company bag pics (below) inspired the purchase. Besides the neon fun, this is my second Cambridge Satchel bag so I obviously think the brand is great. I also have it in classic yellow. It is a sturdy bag that fits my iPad and all of my essentials. I love having the ability to wear it cross-body or use it as a large clutch, seen below.

See the full range of Cambridge Satchel Company flourescent bags here. And, if you love neon as much as I do, check out my neon vintage fishing lure necklaces and tote bags-in my Etsy store

My New Favorite Thing: Orange Chevron Throw

So, I have had an orange thing happening for a few months now. Recently I came to the realization that it was time to put away the heavy Missoni for Target throw, which I adore, because it is just too warm. I ran across this one at Z Gallerie. It is the perfect weight, light but keeps you warm, is so soft and it is chevron. I have it folded across the bottom of my bed. Just perfect.

My New Favorite Thing: T-Rex Planter

It is quite possible that my inner fifth-grader purchased this. The one who loved Indiana Jones and the possibility of being an archeologist. Or maybe it is just the design nerd in me that adores quirky. Either way, I am loving this planter for my new desk. It brings color and fun. Find it on Etsy here.

My New Favorite Thing: Spike the Punch Necklace

This necklace made me a fashion stalker. I found out about Spike the Punch and the Rainey necklace through people I follow on Instagram. Little did I know how hard it would be to get one! Fortunately for me, I am not working right now because this was actually a full-time job.

How did I do it? I had to consistently refresh the Spike the Punch Etsy page all day and all night. Sure, I took breaks. Finally after three days it paid off, around 5 p.m. on a weekday I hit refresh and my adrenaline kicked into overdrive when I saw it. I rushed to add it to my cart and check out before it floated off into some faster gals life. It was perfect and it was NEON and it was mine!

Some may say I am crazy. Was it worth it...absolutely. Do I want another...absolutely.

Update: ShopSpikethePunch.com has now opened.

I am currently selling three of my unworn Spike the Punch Rainey necklaces through Poshmark.
I now have a huge Rainey collection and decided to get rid of unworn pieces. See my pieces here

My New Favorite Thing: The Glam Skull

I wear way too much pink to be considered a fan of gothic style in my home or clothing. But, I do LOVE skulls. Lola has a pink and white skull collar and leash, I have a skull scarf and I am currently working on yellow skull adorned friendship bracelets! So, when I saw this on Instagram and then online I *had* to have it.
I am redecorating my room (just adding a new accent color, orange!), so I think it will make a perfect addition sitting next to some of my favorite necklaces and perfumes. It almost looks like crystals covering the skull but it is metal made to look like it.
