How To Save Wet Electronics You Dropped in the Pool/Toilet/Washing Machine

It is are lounging by the pool taking a photo for Facebook and drop your iPhone in the water. Enter panic and diving in the water only to think of a million things you can do to fix it. Whether it is your cell phone, iPod or any other electronic device, we have all been there.

So, I learned a trick from my good friend Daniel that may or may not work for you, depending on the damage and how long it is in the water-but it is worth a try.

Step 1: Do NOT attempt to turn your phone on!
Step 2: Take the battery out of your phone.
Step 3: Grab some rice and a ziplock baggie.
Step 4: Put your phone and battery in the baggie with the rice and leave it.
Step 5: Leave your phone alone (yes, don't touch!) for 2-3 days and then take it out and put your phone back together

Hopefully it works for you like it did for my friend! It didn't work for the person I pulled this image below from ( but it seems she gained some peace and perspective by not having a phone.
