Most recently, my style at the Austin City Limits Festival {ACL}was a bit more practical. My main focus was keeping the sun off my face in the day and staying warm at night if it was breezy, while wearing comfortable shoes. I also made sure to have a few essentials in my backpack like toilet paper, hand sanitizer and my iPhone.
Besides my style, one of the biggest changes {I am loving} is the growth of technology in this space. Before I even leave my house now, I download specific apps to make the concert or festival experience even better. Here are my two favorites:
- Vivogig. Okay who isn't photo-obsessed these days?! With this unique music-focused app, you capture and share photos from concerts and festivals of all sizes {like my shot at Frank in Austin below}. I *love* seeing the viewpoints from others in the crowd...it is a pretty cool way to look at a show. You can also vote to help your favorite band climb the Vivogig charts-and win free tickets to concerts.
- The festival app. ACL did a great job with their app and instead of the paper handout, I referred to this. I had my personal playlist set up so I knew exactly what stage I needed to be at and when. I also loved the diagram of the grounds so I knew where everything was on-site.
What was your first music concert or festival? And, did I miss any must-haves that you take with you?
Then
Now
I love how you did a little comparison between then and now! Oh, the doc Martens! I remember everyone wearing them but I never had a pair.
ReplyDeleteYour current outfit is so cute and easy breezy! I had no idea about the apps, how neat! Thanks so much for linking up, Amber!

I am starting to wish I still had those docs...although not sure I would still wear them. :)
DeleteLOVE the then-and-now comparison, how fun! When I put together my summer concert post, I was thinking about Lillith Fair in the late '90s. :)
